Rain has not fallen for many months, and the land is beginning to dry up. Prey is becoming scarce. The only places almost untouched by the drought have been Five-Deer Forest and Duck Bay, although they are beginning to feel the effects.

Elk Plains An open, treeless expanse, unbroken for kilometres. It is covered in lush grass during the spring, and many flowers bloom there too. During the summer and autumn months, it is covered in coarse, yellow grass, while in the Winter it is covered in thick snow. Many elk pass through here during the winter, and these herds are what gives this plain its name. Moderator: slimestone

Sky Hill The tallest point on the plains, standing at the top makes the whole area viewable. It is covered in a coarse, yellow-green grass and a thin, wiry tree that provides some form of shade from the sun. Moderator: slimestone

The Forest
Longwood Forest A lush, thick forest with all kinds of trees in site. Oaks, elms and ashes can be seen all around, and the undergrowth is thick with leaf litter and dirt. Birds, rodents and deer can be found within. Moderator: slimestone
Five-Deer River A river named for the five deer herds that live around it. The river is shallow for the most part and isn't very wide, easily waded and covered in ten or so wolfsteps. The water is clear and fresh, just having come down from the mountains and moves quickly. A few different types of fish live in its waters, mainly salmon. A few stones are littered here and there, but not too many. Slopes on either side lead down to the river, covered in leaves, almost hiding the ground from view. In autumn, the leaves cover the ground a foot thick. A few small trees are found on the slopes, slightly covering the river, but the real forest begins at the top of the slopes were many oak trees can be found. Moderator: slimestone
Duck Bay Duck Bay, at the south end of Fanier, is a small inlet with dark, murky waters. The beach is made up of smooth black and silver pebbles, and stretches up to a small wood of evergreen trees. Small fish live in the shallows, though are too quick for the average wolf to catch. A cool, southerly wind usually blows here, and it barely ever gets hot, with frequent storms.
