Kylon could tell that Ketaro wasn't very comfortable with the question, but he answered it anyway. Although she was still somewhat curious, she decided not to ask about the past, at least not for a while. He said he had traveled for a week, which didn't seem long to Kylon. Then again, she hadn't kept track of how long she had traveled - she had just gone. "I left my family in search of a pack to join where I could make my own name - er, well... not name, but a way that I'm recognized for being me, not just a member of my family. I never thought I'd be leading a pack, but the water-front land was irresistible. I've loved water since I was a pup," she smiled broadly, looking out at the waves. She had given up on explaining why she'd left. She knew the gist of why she had left, but she couldn't put it into the right words without stumbling over the explanation. "You never really know what's going to happen in life, so I try to make the best of it." Her gaze had returned to rest on Ketaro. She didn't know if he had anything to say, but she didn't want to keep talking and bore him or confuse him - both of which she considered herself capable of doing. --- Kylon Talhera --- Timber Wolf --- 2 Years --- "Speech." Ketaro looked at her with surprise. He LOVED water so much that he could just be an aquatic creature. He couldn't explain his love for swimming and being in it. It was weird to many but not to him. Others would be missing out on the graceful waves swallowing the sand. I actually really love water. Swimming is what my dad taught me as a pup and I've loved it ever since. He nodded, smiling lightly after letting her know a little about what he loves. He looked back down at the water and took a large mouth full, after sticking his head in, happily. It's cool you like water as much as I do. It really is a gift to lead a pack right on the beach. It's great to call the beach your own. He laughed at himself. Rambling. Again.

She listened intently to what he said, happy to hear she wasn't the only wolf with an intense love of the water. Her love for water was, in her mind, something she'd had since she first saw it. She smiled back at Ketaro when she noticed him smiling lightly as well. She wagged her tail in a friendly way. "The beach is definitely the best place I've found in my travels. Sharing it with other wolves that enjoy it as much as I do is a fun endeavor," she smiled to herself. Even if the others around her didn't enjoy the water to the same amount as she did, she would be happy to share the land. She liked to have friends and family close by. It was something she had come to realize more so now, with others joining her pack, than she would have while travelling the land by herself. --- Kylon Talhera --- Timber Wolf --- 2 Years --- "Speech." Kylon nodded, smiling to her. He returned the gesture by wagging his tail lightly and looking beyond the water. Why did his gaze move to beyond the water, he didn't know, but it was as if there was something there for him that he wanted to get. Maybe it was just the action of swimming that made his heart rush and his emotions turn to liquid on the ground. So what's up now? He asked, wanting to know what their next act was. He was honestly starting to get bored. He liked his alpha and all but it was weird to hear this girl speak. He had barely talked to females before and now here he was, before his charming alpha, being awkward and unnatural.

When the question was posed of what to do next, Kylon wasn't sure. Thinking back on the conversation for a moment, she realized it might seem strange that the two had been simply lounging about while talking for so long. They had only met a short while ago, but Kylon figured she had spoken more to Ketaro than she had to Ace upon meeting him. A part of her wanted to be moving around - not just sitting around speaking, but she knew it would be rude of her to ignore the other wolf. She wagged her tail politely as she thought, mulling the options over in her mind before she spoke. "I don't have a preference as to what happens next." she paused for a moment, waiting to be sure that she had worded her next statement correctly in her mind. "I suppose that sooner or later we ought to go our separate ways, to some extent, and enjoy the day in other ways. I'm in no rush, but I wouldn't want to impose my presence on another." In a way, she wouldn't have minded returning to a border patrol, merely to have something different to do. Conversations could only last so long before they broke down, and there was nothing left to say. --- Kylon Talhera --- Timber Wolf --- 2 Years --- "Speech." Thoughts. Actions. Word Count: 215

Ketaro nodded and finally turned away from the water. He sighed lightly and started to turn. Hey. I'll get some work done. I will do some border patrol for you so you can lay back and enjoy the rest of your day. Ketaro started to head away from the beach and towards the border. He was going to cover every inch of the land to defend anything from coming in. But of course, what was he to do? His alpha had obviously gotten bored with him for today so he would give in for tis conversation and hopefully see her tomorrow.

She hadn't meant to seem rude, but based on his reaction, she hadn't been as kind as she had intended to be, either. He turned to walk away in the direction of the border, and she listened to his words without interrupting. She decided to speak only once she believed he was done with his own words. "I don't mean to chase you away... I'll see you some other time, then." she said, with an inward sigh. "See you later, Ketaro." Deciding it was best to rest for a few minutes more, she trod lightly toward the water. When she didn't have other wolves for company, she had the water. It was dark when you looked into its depths - not as clear lakes and rivers she had seen before. Still, it enthralled her, making her want to learn what was hiding at its murky bottom. Her eyes watched Ketaro as he moved away, presumably to patrol the border for a while today. She saw an aura of strength and pride around him, and debated for a moment calling him back to accompany her for a while longer. She stopped herself, though, because it felt to her like they had mutually agreed their conversation was over, for now. --- Kylon Talhera --- Timber Wolf --- 2 Years --- "Speech." Thoughts. Actions.
